Mangaluru: In connection with the 30th-year celebration of Yenepoya Dental College, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Satellite unit of Centre for Substance Abuse Prevention, Yenepoya Dental College, conducted an awareness program on Drug Abuse Prevention.
This was held at Transit One Mall on Dec 09, 2022, from 6:30 pm to 7.30 pm. Venkatesh H, ASI, Ullal Police Station was the Chief Guest for the function. Mohammed Mansoor, ASI, also attended the program. In the introductory speech, Dr Akther Hussain, Principal of Yenepoya Dental College, emphasised the ill effects of drugs on youth and society. The ASIs appreciated the efforts of Yenepoya Dental College for this noble cause and offered all support from police officials.
The students from Yenepoya Dental College enlightened the crowd about the ill effects of Drug Abuse through various activities such as Mime, Dance Drama, Skit, and Songs and huge crowd witnessed the program. The programme concluded with Oath-taking and a vote of thanks by Dr Shruti Nayak, Member Secretary, Centre for substance abuse prevention.
