Mangaluru: On the Occasion of World Environmental Observational Day Department of Community Health Nursing in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club Yenepoya Nursing College organized Environmental Awareness Program at Kalkatta Govt School, Manjanady on September 24 between 10 am and 1 pm. Various flowers, fruits, croton and medicinal plants were planted and a beautiful garden was created for the school.
Navya, Assistant Professor, and Program officer of Red Ribbon Club, Yenepoya Nursing College created awareness regarding students’ role in environmental protection. Malathi, Headmistress, Kalkatta Govt School, Manjanady, Shycil Mathew, Assistant Professor, Community Health Nursing Department and Daisy D Souza, Program officer of Red Ribbon Club, Yenepoya Nursing College were present for the programme. Around 280 school children benefitted from this program. GNM students of Yenepoya Institute of Nursing Science created environmental awareness.
