YRC Yenepoya marks National Blood Donor’s day-2022

Mangaluru:  National Blood Donor’s Day was observed at Yenepoya Deemed to University through Youth Red Cross and National Service Scheme in association with Blood Centre Yenepoya Medical College and Hospital Derlakatte. More than 50 volunteers from constituent colleges registered for blood donation out of them 25 volunteers donated blood. Blood centre Deputy Director Dr Indira, YRC Nodal officer Nithyashree, YRC Program officers Dr Tariq, Dr Syed, and Jyothi Coordinated the program.

Flash Mob was performed on the theme of blood donation- Save Life to create awareness by the Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Naturopathy volunteers.

Dr Indira S Puthran Deputy Director of Blood Bank YMCH delivered an awareness talk on Blood donation, its importance, and the requisites to be a donor and clarified the doubts of student volunteers. Nithyashree BV addressed the gathering and said blood donation is a core activity of the Red Cross and motivated students to donate blood. Naturopathy College NSS Program Officer Ajith welcomed the gathering and Dr Shreya, Naturopathy College Youth Red Cross Program officer, delivered a Vote of thanks. Fathima Haris recited Prayer, Dr Harinarayana, Dr Arundeep, and Fathima Program officers of Youth Red Cross were present. Mohvesha hosted the Program. On the occasion of National Blood Donor’s Day, E poster Competition was conducted for all the students of the constituent colleges of the University.

Overall students gave positive feedback and shared their fruitful learning experience.
