Zimbabwe: Yenepoya (deemed to be University), India and the Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences (MSUAS), Zimbabwe signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build a partnership in advancing innovations in Research and ethics education at both universities. The Centre for Ethics has also signed MoUs with Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany, Duquesne University, Pittsburg, USA, Universidad Pan Americana, Mexico and Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey.
A brief discussion on the aspirations of the MoU was followed by the signing of the MoU. The signatories from the MSUAS were Dr Moses Jachi, Acting Vice Chancellor Dean, Agribusiness and Applied Social Sciences, Dr Crispen Bhukuvhani, Executive Dean, Research Innovation and Post Graduate Studies and Jerry Chilimbo, Deputy Registrar.
The solemn occasion was witnessed by Dr. Nyamunda Benezis, Executive Dean of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Amato Makandwa, Deputy Librarian, Shingayirayi Moyo, Director, Marketing Information and Public relations, Sifelalini, Marketing Info and Public relations, and Josephine Mwafuka, Innovations Manager.

The MoU will facilitate the setting up of Centres for academic and research advancement, teaching courses, student and faculty exchange programmes and training of Research Ethics Committee members, thereby reflecting excellent mutual relations between Yenepoya (deemed University) and Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences.
The growth of the Centre for Ethics has been possible due to support, encouragement and leadership given by Yenepoya (deemed to be University), the management and authorities.
