Mangaluru: Rev. Fr. Cyprian D’Souza (Capuchin) inaugurated the ‘Triduum’ by hoisting Saint Anthony’s flag at the Milagres Church at 5.45 pm on Sunday, June 10.

He then celebrated the Holy Mass. Rev. Fr. Dolphi Serrao (Capuchin) gave a homily on ‘Saint Anthony-hope for the destitute and distressed’, where he spoke about how Jesus went about preaching and casting out demons despite the number of people who were against him.

He then spoke about Saint Anthony who tried to follow Jesus by doing good. That’s why even after his death for the past eight centuries, people all over the world approach him to intercede for them in their difficulties, said Fr. Serrao.

Fr. Francis D’Souza conducted the Novena. Fr. Thrishan D’Souza and Fr. Valerian D’Souza were present. More than a thousand people participated in the devotion. Fr. Onil D’Souza, the director thanked all for their participation.
