Davanagere, Harihara: Sixth day’s Novena at Our Lady of Health, Minor Basilica, Harihara, Davanagere District, Diocese of Shimoga, began at 5:30 pm with Rosary, Procession and floral homages to Harihara Matha. Then Basilica Rector & Parish Priest Rev. Fr George K. A led the Novena.
At 6:30 pm Rev. Fr Shanthraj SJ, Bengaluru offered Holy Eucharist. He preached his homily on the theme: “Mother Mary is an inspiration to win over the difficulties in the family”.
In his homily explained that difficulties are part and parcel of life. But we need to face them with the Grace of God courageously. Blessed Virgin Mary is the perfect example for us of how she faced the difficulties she faced in her life. She never complained about them. But gracefully accepted them as the gift of God and obeyed the will of God. Even in our lives she always remains as an example to face and overcome difficulties in our lives too.
Rev. Fr Venil D’Silva, Rev. Fr Richard SJ, Rev. Fr Wilson Lopis and Rev. Fr Alvin Stanislaus concelebrated the Holy Eucharist.
After the Mass Rev. Fr Santhraj SJ led the benediction and priests prayed over the pilgrims. Rector of the Minor Basilica Rev. Fr George K A thanked Rev. Fr Shanthraj SJ.
