Mangaluru: The Catholic Action League (CAL) for the first time in Mangalore diocese organized an inter parish Youth cultural fest- Chorus 2015.
The event was inaugurated by chief guest, ICYM diocese Director Rev Fr Ronald D’souza ,CAL Director ,Parish priest of Bendur Rev Fr Antony Serrao , Asst director Fr. Jason Lobo, Animator of CAL Walter Colaco , Vincent Goveas and Ronald Walder from the Bendur parish council and Sujith Norohna, convenor of youth and cultural events of Bendur Parish.
President of CAL Glayson Menezes, Secretary Michelle Dsouza and convenor Nikhil Nazareth were present on the dais during the inaugural. ‘Chorus-2015’ was a huge success with over180 participants from 12 parishes from the city and Episcopal City Deaneries.
Chorus was a platform to bring out the talents as well as it was an effort from CAL to bring the ICYM unit together. The event had various exciting youth oriented events for present generation. The events included photography, face painting, Quiz, cooking without fire, Fashion show, 60 seconds to fame, mad ads, treasure hunt and tug of war.
For the concluding program Ashith Pereira, President of District NSUI and Meril Rego president for Mangalore south youth congress were the Chief guest, Asst. Director of CAL Fr. Jason Lobo, President and secretary of CAL Glayson Menezes and Michelle D’souza and Convener Nikhil Nazareth were on dais.
