Bengaluru: On the occation of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s 65th Mahaparinirvan Divas, Dalitha Samraksha Samithi (DSS) had organised a tribute in front of Town Hall on Monday December 6.
The co-ordinator of the programme Dr. Y. Mariswamy said Ambedkar is one of the gratest personalitiea of the country. He fought against the caste system, for human rights, gender equality, enforcement of Hindu Code Bill, he added.
Further, he said Baba Saheb Ambedkar is not only a leader of India but a global personality. He was a great economist, and presented several theories for the development of the country.
During this programme, DSS paid tribute to Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar, who recently left us. The members lighed the candle and mourned the loss of the great soul.
