Bengaluru: The work of appreciating and supporting the person who does good for society has been happening these days. Our working style and duty consciousness makes us more dignified, and hence journalists should imbibe such qualities, said Retired ADGP and AAP Leader Bhaskar Rao.

Speaking after the inauguration of Karnataka Working Journalists’ Association, he said it is difficult to get good writers. News story should have sense, and a good qualitative report must serve as role to the society. One should work towards encouraging such talent as otherwise the profession will relegate to only dissemination of news. Real journalists bring out news stories including investigative reports. Sometimes journalists’ profession is challenging, and a lot of hardwork too, he said and advised to have good command over the language and thus have great future ahead.

Chief Guest Big Boss contestant and Social Activist Prashanth Sambaragi said, it is a matter of happiness that a new association has been started. All my social works were highlighted by journalists, and also further media has supported all my works, he said and called on journalists to have commitment, ethics and honesty.

Many organisations are working for the welfare of the journalists but unfortunately we are in a situation that we are unable to get facilities for ourselves. In order to better our lives, an organisation is necessary. We will take this forward responsibly, said Huli Amaranath.

On the occasion, Senior Journalist Mullalli Suri, M. P. Hombal, Lingaraju D. Nonavinakere, Ganesh Bokasi, Shivarudta Shamarao Patil and others were felicitated.
