Mysuru:Jain Milan Charitable Trust has become a ray of Hope for those who could not afford dialysis service and Artificial Limb replacement (Jaipur Foot) in Mysuru.
Speaking to News Karnataka on Wednesday trust Secretary, Dr. Mahavir Chand Bhansali said that earlier we were sending dialysis patients to JSS Hospital, providing financial assistance. But we came to know that the city facing a shortage of dialysis units and patients waiting in long queues to get to the facility.
Then the trust decided to open their own dialysis unit at Bamboo Bazaar, New Sayyaji Rao road, In the name of Jain Milan Dialysis centre, A unit of Jain Milan Charitable Trust, Mysore, to support poor patients and started the unit with 11 machines. He said the dialysis unit is planning to work now in two shifts a day. He said we are charging Rs. 500 per dialysis per person. He said the dialysis unit has MOU with JSS hospital. Technicians and other Staffs have been appointed in the dialysis centre and they are paid by the trust.
Though the city has many private dialysis units, the poor could not afford it as they charge nearly rs. 1500 for once. The Jain dialysis unit is the only low-cost dialysis centre in Mysore.
Apart from this service, the Jain Milan Charitable Trust organising free Artificial Limb Camp along with other organisations in which more than 2000 persons have been benefited till now.
