Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School celebrated Children’s Day on Nov. 14, 2022, on the school grounds. The staff of LCS organised a meaningful assembly for the students. The programme started with a prayer song followed by intentions read by Noeleen Pais and Father Arul Joseph. To begin the programme, Girish S. presented the thought for the day.
Guests for the programme were Deputy Head Boy Master Saaket and Deputy Head Girl Miss Portia. Gretta Menezes welcomed the gathering. A floral tribute was paid to the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru by all the dignitaries. Deepika Fernandes spoke on the importance of celebrating Nov. 14 as children’s day. Theresa Monteiro had words of appreciation for the students.
Principal, Rev Father Robert D’Souza spoke on the occasion and urged the students to be confident and take up their responsibilities. The Children’s Day song was presented by Ivan Mascarenhas and the team.
Spot games were conducted by Lolita, which children enjoyed the most. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks.
