“The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be ignited”

Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School students of classes 9 to 12 got the incredible opportunity to take part in a seminar by the Guinness World Record holder, MD Ahmed. The session began with a prayer song led by the school choir. Medansh Vats of class 10 welcomed the gathering and acknowledged the presence of the Principal, Rev. Fr Robert D’Souza, the Vice Principals, Belita Mascarenhas and Anita Thomas, the teachers and students. He also gave a brief introduction about the guest speaker MD Ahmed.

MD Ahmed completed his studies at Warton Business School, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Colorado, and John Hopkins and completed his Masters in Psychotherapy. He is a certified Doctoral Scholar from Geneva, Switzerland. He is the best-rated author of the book ‘Hidden Secrets of the Topper’s Mind’.  He invented the Total Recall System and Flash Reading and is the founder of Fuel4success.com. He holds the Guinness World Record for his display of concentration power and super-learning. The guest was then honoured by the dignitaries.

“The secret to success is to do common things uncommonly”.

The resource person briefly touched upon the capacity of the human brain and impressed upon the fact that marks do not reflect one’s intelligence but rather the efficiency of their learning methods. He shared with the students three secrets to efficient learning; MD’s Accelerated Learning System, Mind Mastery and Relationship Mastery. There was a demonstration of digital storing and recording by him. He interacted with the students with motivational real-life stories and shared his own life experiences. He maintained a humorous and engaging atmosphere throughout the session. He ended the session with a quote, “No dream is too big and no person too small to achieve it”.

Sujith Bengani of class 12 delivered the vote of thanks. Mridula of class 12 compered the program.
