Mangaluru: MLA Vedavyas Kamath laid foundation stone for various development works at a cost of Rs 1.75 Crore in Mangaluru City South limits.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kamath said that funds have been released through the Minority Development Department for the development of various churches. He said that funds have been released in a phased manner for the development of various churches as funds can be utilised for the development of churches and other religious places through the Minorities Development Department.
“A total of Rs 1.75 Crore will be spent on the development of the compound wall of the ancient burial ground of Mangaladevi Kanti Temple, repair and renovation of Bolur Bokkapatna Rest Church and construction of Community Hall at Shakthinagara,” he said.
