Mangaluru: The inauguration ceremony of the new academic year 2022-23 was held as an inaugural program on 30th May 2022. The inauguration ceremony commenced with a prayer song by School Choir. In order to earnestly seek the divine blessings of God Almighty verses from the Holy Bible were read. The student representatives delivered prayers with various intentions.
The welcome speech was efficiently delivered by Leon Dsouza. The President of the program Rev.Sr Marceline D’Souza, FSM, Principal and Correspondent of the Nazareth Central School, Balmatta, along with other dignitaries on the dais inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and undoubtedly inspired the students by speaking about the importance of education and asserted that education is the only key to success in our personal and professional life.
Sister Principal genuinely appreciated the students for their outstanding performance in the previous academic year and conveyed the overwhelming importance of the theme of the academic year 2022-23, “Joy in our journey” which is to make teaching and learning a joyful scenario through the digital platform. It’s a sad and heart touching situation that we entire Nazareth Fraternity faced.
We joined our hands today in mourning over the void caused by our beloved Principal Sr. Mariet D’Cunha, she left us suddenly, she loved us dearly and we know that. Let’s find comfort in this, our condolences. No one wants to lose a loved one, the resulting emotion could tear one apart and is hard for every person. No words can take away the pain, we only say what we can. Kumari Devika Shaji, grade 10th A, faithfully delivered the vote of thanks.
Kumari Rithwika Kottary of grade X convened the function. Nathalia Miranda, Sushma and Sonia Gonzalves coordinated the programme. The inaugural concluded with the National Anthem.
