Kasaragod: Brother Joseph Crasta, The founder of Snehalaya, rescued a person named Kenchenna He was found wandering on the streets of Uppala, Kasargod. He showed extremely violent behaviour and was admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre. The Psychiatric counsellors and medical team gave him the appropriate care and support.
In addition to the medication, he was urged to take part in various therapeutic activities and counselling sessions. Based on the information provided by him, our social workers were able to determine his native place. There were phone call and family counselling, sessions for Kenchenna and for his family. There the psychiatric social workers arranged a reunion on Jun 18 at Snehalaya.
The family members came to Snehalaya to receive Kenchenna. His wife and mother were in tears as they saw him alive and in good condition. Kenchanna was really delighted and happy to be back to his abode. It gives us satisfaction and joy when we witness reunifications taking place from our Centre.
