Sonu Sood visits Prajna Skill Training Centre at Mudipu

Mangaluru: Bollywood Actor and Sood Charity Foundation Founder Sonu Sood, attracted by the Social Service of Dr. Hilda Rayappan, visited Prajna Vocational Skill Training Centre, Mudipu at Bantwal of Dakshina Kannada District Taluk run by her on Thursday July 7.

On Tuesday July 6 he arrived at Mangaluru International Airport and Dr. Hilda Rayappan welcomed him. Sonu Sood also visited the Chinnara Thangudhama, a Transit Home for destitute children at Bejai-Kapikad in Mangaluru and interacted with the inmates there. The Transit Home here in Mangaluru was launched in 2012, and is an initiative by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in association with Prajna Counselling Centre to rehabilitate street urchins, rag pickers, child labourers and children addicted to drugs.

“At the vocational centre, computer, beautician, driving, fashion desigining and electrician training will be provided. It was started a year ago. There are 208 persons being trained here. Sonu Sood witnessed the training that were being held in the Centre,” said Dr. Hilda Rayappan.

Sonu Sood presented Oxygen cylinder during Covid and won the hearts of millions of Indians. During his visit Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K.V., and Dr. Hilda Rayappan accompanied him.
