Udupi: Kannada Rajyotsava Kavi Samaya held in Ajekar

Udupi: Kannada Rajyotsava – Kavi Samaya was jointly organised by Akhila Karnataka Beladingala Sahitya Sammelana Samiti, Jyothi High School and Jyothi Pre-University College was held on Thursday November 3.

Rajyotsava Awardee Subrahmanya Dhareshwara, said that the literature of the senior Kannada poets should be studied and he also sung song of Devadas Eshwaramangala.

Balakrishna Hegde Ajekar presided over the function. Kavi Samaya was inaugurated by Veteran Poet Kantavara Shivananda Shenoy, Karkala.
Prema Basanagouda Biradar, Vijayapura, Rekha Sudesh Rao, Mangaluru, Ronnie Mondonna Ajekar, and Devadas Eshwaramangala recited poems and wished for the sucess of the programme.

Yashas Tantri, Sudeeksha Nayak Nellikatte, Veeksha, Ramya, Rachana, Inchara U. Rao, Pallavi Kamath, Divya Kumari, Sinchana, Vignesh, Sumanth Poojary, Devisharan, Rama, Navya Nayak, Dhanushree, Akshata, Srishti Rao, Swasti D. Shetty, Prastuthi Acharya, Sriraksha, Prapti, Srinidhi Hegde and Veeksha recited the poems.

College Principal Sagaya Selvi, Sundara Poojary and Balakrishna Hegde were felicitated. Akhila Karnataka Belandingala Sahitya Sammelana Samiti State President, and an alumnus of the school Dr. Shekhar Ajekar delivered the introductory remarks. Social Activist Sunita Anda compered the programme. Lecturer Sundar PoojarY delivered the vote of thanks
