Mangaluru: ICYM- Episcopal City Deanery organized Yuvasamavesh-2015 on, Sunday, August 23 2015. Around 150 youth of ICYM came together the event which was held at Rosario Church Hall.
Leon Saldanha was the convener for Yuvasamavesh-2015.
The programme commenced with a prayer song. Winston compered the formal programme. Mangalore City Corporation, Mayor Jacintha Alfred,Vicar Forane Fr.J.BCrasta, Assistant parish priest of Milagres Fr.SantoshLobo, ICYM diocesan president Alwyn were the special guests for the day.
On this occasion, Jacintha Alfred, Fr.Santosh Lobo and Jonita Rasquinha were felicitated by Fr.J.BCrasta for their service to the society, varado and towards the youth. The programme, with the theme of “youth unity, builds community”, was inaugurated by the guests in a very innovative way.
Following this, Jacintha Alfred inspired the youth with her encouraging words.
The President of Yuvasamavesh- 2015, Fr J.B.Crasta encouraged the youth to have a positive thinking in all that they do. Robin Cutinho conducted the ice breaking session and an effective session on the topic-“Youth Unity –Builds Community” was conducted by Fr. Robert, Principal of Lourdes Central School, followed by Eucharistic celebration and lunch.
The afternoon session was a fun-filled session where the youth of the Episcopal City Deanery units, presented their talent. The programme concluded with a feedback session that was conducted by Robin Cutinho.
