Mangaluru: For the third consecutive year, NewsKarnataka.com and NewsKannada.com are all set to organise a Christmas Carol video contest for people across the globe.
This year, 50 entries will go for the competition. The teams will get a unique opportunity to be featured on NewsKarnataka.com and NewsKannada.com’s Facebook as well as YouTube channels.
Judges for this year’s competition are Jeevan Lobo, Music Teacher, Abu Dhabi, Wilfred Fernandes, Singer, Composer and Musician, Abu Dhabi and Arun Carlo, Musician, Composer and Singer, Dubai.
Winners can take home the first prize of INR 15,000, the second prize is worth INR 10,000, and the third prize is worth INR 5,000.
A consolation prize of INR 1,000 each will be given to the five finalist teams.
To get featured in Newskarnataka.com and NewsKannada.com, candidates must send their carol singing videos by email to studio@newskarnataka.com or WhatsApp at +91 7676218100. All entries are free and open all across the world. Music is required for the Carol songs and video entries must be sent only after registration.
Rules of the competition:
Only One video per team to get entry into the carol singing competition. The participants of one team can’t be participants of another team.
The video must be recorded between November 5 and December 5, 2022. The carol videos must be original and the duration for the same will be between 3 minutes to a maximum of 4 minutes.
A minimum of two persons should be there to make a team and for maximum no limit. It should be a music-accompanied video. Video entries should be sent only after registration.
Teams will be disqualified if participants are found breaking the rules of the competition/violating the rules of the contest.
Candidates must note that entries will be considered on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The carols can be in any language and the video can be recorded from anywhere in the world and can be shared via mail or WhatsApp.
Teams will get attractive cash prizes for Winners, Runners up and also consolation prizes as mentioned above.
Also, any teams that want to utilise the NewsKarnataka Studio situated at Kadri, Mangaluru then the studio is available for recording at a reasonable rent.
