Mangaluru: On August 2, Ather delivered new Ather Rizta scooters to 50 customers at the Ather showroom in Indus Business Centre, Kadri. The Ather Rizta, the company’s second product after the Ather 450 series, is now available in three variants with battery capacities ranging from 2.9 kW to 3.7 kW. It offers a certified range of up to 159 km on a single charge, starting at Rs 1.09 lakh.
The Rizta is notable for several innovative features, including:
- Skid Control: Maintains grip on slippery surfaces like rain, sand, or oil.
- Magic Twist: Tail lights flash during sudden braking to alert following riders.
- Google Maps with Live Traffic Updates.
- Fall Safe: The motor automatically shuts down in case of a fall.
- Emergency Stop Signal: Flashing tail lights for sudden braking.
Additionally, the Rizta boasts the largest seat in the scooter segment with 56L of storage space, including 34L in the boot and 22L in the frunk. Over five years, owners can save up to Rs 3 lakh in fuel and service costs, with a running cost of 25 paisa per kilometre compared to 2 rupees on a petrol scooter.
Ather operates five sales outlets in Dakshina Kannada—Kadri, Kottara, Pumpwell, BC Road, and Puttur—and two service centres in Kottara and Puttur.
