Anticipation surrounding one of the most awaited video games in history has reached new heights after Rockstar Games officially unveiled the cover artwork for Grand Theft Auto VI and confirmed the launch of digital and physical pre-orders later this month.

The gaming giant announced that pre-orders for GTA 6 will open worldwide on June 25, while reaffirming the game’s release date as November 19, 2026.

Lucia and Jason take centre stage

The newly revealed cover art follows Rockstar’s iconic Grand Theft Auto design style, featuring protagonists Lucia and Jason prominently at the centre of the artwork.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Vice City, the cover includes several elements familiar to fans of the franchise, including speedboats, dirt bikes, helicopters and a host of supporting characters.

Among the featured personalities are Boobie Ike and Raul Bautista, who are expected to play significant roles in the game’s storyline.

Vice City returns in a new era

The artwork offers another glimpse into Rockstar’s modern reimagining of Vice City, the fictional location inspired by Miami that first became famous through the 2002 classic Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Since the first trailer was released, excitement has continued to build around the return of the beloved setting, which is expected to feature a larger and more detailed open world than any previous entry in the series.

The game will also mark the franchise’s first major instalment to feature a female protagonist as one of the central playable characters.

One of gaming’s biggest launches

With pre-orders beginning on June 25, industry analysts expect GTA 6 to break multiple sales records even before its official launch.

The franchise has consistently ranked among the best-selling entertainment properties in the world, and expectations for the latest instalment remain exceptionally high.

As fans count down to November 19, the unveiling of the official cover art has provided another milestone in what is shaping up to be one of the biggest gaming releases of the decade. #GTA6 #RockstarGames #GamingNews #ViceCity #VideoGames #newskarnataka
