Hassan: Mallikarjuna, a 58-year-old resident of J Surapura village, Belur taluk, has tragically passed away from severe injuries sustained in a wild elephant attack. The attack occurred on August 13 as Mallikarjuna was traveling to his farm with a bag of manure on his motorbike. He was ambushed by a wild elephant, which attacked him, lifting and throwing him violently, and then trampling him.

After the incident, Mallikarjuna was rushed to Hassan District Hospital before being transferred to a private facility. Despite ongoing medical treatment, his condition worsened, leading to his return home. Unfortunately, he passed away at his residence on Wednesday.
