Thiruvananthapuram: A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Kulakkode on Wednesday as a 10-year-old girl was found dead by hanging in the bathroom of her home. The deceased, identified as Dilshitha, a Class IV student at Vishwadarshini School in Uriyakode, was at home with her grandmother and younger sister when the tragedy occurred.
According to Aryanad police, Dilshitha had been playing with her sibling before locking herself inside the bathroom, where she was later discovered unresponsive with a shawl. Her mother was away at work at the time.
Authorities have launched an investigation, with initial findings suggesting a dispute between the children over a pen. The child’s mortal remains have been moved to a hospital in Vellanad for further examination.
