Gorvika was left in the car for nearly two hours before her family realized she was inside. Tragically, by the time they discovered her, she had already passed away. The authorities noted that Gorvika’s family declined to have an autopsy performed and also opted out of any police involvement regarding the matter.

The sequence of events began when Gorvika’s father, Pradeep Nagar, accompanied by his wife and two daughters, attended a wedding function in Jorawarpura village. Upon arrival, Gorvika’s mother and elder sister exited the car, while her father proceeded to park it. Assuming Gorvika had left with her mother and sister, Pradeep Nagar locked the car after parking.

However, Gorvika’s mother believed she was accompanying her father. Amidst the festivities, neither parent realized that the child had remained inside the car. According to a statement from Khatoli police station SHO Banna Lal, Gorvika’s father assumed she was with her mother, while her mother thought she was with her father.
