Mumbai: A 31-year-old woman died after falling from a residential high-rise in Jogeshwari late on Wednesday night. According to the Meghwadi police, the incident occurred at the Oberoi Splendour building located near BEST’s Majas Depot.
Woman found unresponsive after fall
Police said the woman, identified as Shristi Amit Jain, fell from the eleventh floor of C Wing at around 11 pm. Residents alerted the security staff, who immediately arranged to shift her to a nearby hospital. Doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Officers said no note or message was recovered from the location during the initial inspection. Police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR), as is standard procedure in such cases.
Police begin investigation
Meghwadi police stated that they are examining the circumstances leading to the incident. Statements from family members, residents and building security personnel are being collected as part of the inquiry. Officers will also review CCTV footage from the premises to understand the sequence of events.
Authorities emphasised that all angles will be verified before arriving at any conclusion, and further details will be released after the preliminary investigation.
