Four individuals, including two girls and two women, tragically lost their lives while 20 others sustained injuries when a tractor-trolley carrying devotees overturned in Datia district, Madhya Pradesh.
The incident occurred early Friday morning as the vehicle was en route to the Ratangarh Mata shrine near Maithana Pali. According to police officials, the tractor-trolley veered off the road, plummeting 15 feet into a culvert.
Datia Superintendent of Police Virendra Mishra stated that the cause of the accident remains under investigation. One of the injured girls was referred to Gwalior for advanced medical care, while another was transported to Jhansi.
The remaining injured individuals are receiving treatment within the district.
