New Delhi: Police have arrested Surjeet Singh, accused in the 2022 stabbing death of delivery boy Sagar Singh in West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar. The dispute arose after Sagar attempted to smoke, leading to an altercation with Surjeet and Harshdeep Singh, during which Sagar was fatally stabbed.
While Harshdeep was apprehended shortly after the incident, Surjeet fled to Punjab, altering his appearance and posing as a Nihang to evade detection. His whereabouts were eventually traced through call records and CCTV footage. Following an intensive seven-day search, he was arrested in Batala, Punjab.
This resolution comes after a two-year effort to bring justice for the victim and his family.
