Aman Preet Singh, brother of actress Rakul Preet Singh, along with four others, has been arrested in Hyderabad for alleged cocaine consumption.
According to Telangana police, during a raid on a flat in Hydershakotla, Narsingi, they seized 199 grams of cocaine valued at ₹35 lakh, along with two passports, two motorcycles, 10 cell phones, and other evidence.
The operation was conducted jointly by the Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau, Cyberabad police’s Special Operations Team (SOT), and Rajendranagar police. Among those arrested were two Nigerians allegedly involved in selling cocaine to high-profile customers in the city, one of whom is Aman Singh, as confirmed by Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Avinash Mohanty.
From a group of 13 consumers, five tested positive for cocaine in urine samples and were subsequently arrested. The arrested individuals are Aniketh, Prasad, Aman, Madhu, and Nikhil.
The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau issued a plea to youth and students to avoid drugs and urged parents to monitor their children’s activities closely, encouraging them to reach out to the police if needed.
In a related development, Rakul Preet Singh, the 33-year-old actress, had been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in 2021 and 2022 in connection with a drug trafficking and consumption case.
