Police officials in Jaipur, Rajasthan, have reported that four schools received bomb threats via email on Monday. According to news agency PTI, authorities have taken action by evacuating students and staff from the affected schools. Teams comprising police, bomb squads, and dog squads have been dispatched to investigate the threats.

Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph stated to PTI, “Four to five schools have received bomb threats. Police personnel have been deployed to the schools.”

The police have confirmed that the threats were sent via email and are actively working to identify the sender of these threatening messages.

DCP East Jaipur, Kavendra Sagar, mentioned, “Threatening emails have been received by several schools in the city, including Maheshwari School (MPS International School). Currently, bomb disposal squads are conducting searches within the school premises.”

Earlier this month, approximately 130 schools in the Delhi-NCR region also received similar bomb threat emails, leading to the prompt evacuation of students. Investigations revealed that these emails originated from a server located in Russia.

The Delhi Police’s anti-terror unit special cell successfully traced the source of these emails back to Russia. It is suspected that these emails were generated using the dark web, an encrypted part of the internet used to conceal users’ identities and locations.
