A heartwarming video showing an Indian Army veteran helping a woman reach the railway station on time has struck a chord with social media users, drawing widespread praise for his selfless act.

The video, shared on Instagram by Daljeet Singh, shows him riding through heavy traffic in Delhi when a woman travelling in an autorickshaw stops him at a traffic signal. Visibly anxious, she tells him she is worried about missing her train.

“Can you drop me at Delhi Cantt Railway Station? If I go by auto, I might get stuck. My train is at 2.45 pm,” the woman is heard saying in the clip.

Moved by her situation, Singh immediately asks the autorickshaw driver to pull over. He then requests the woman to open navigation on her phone to guide him to the station and also advises the auto driver to help her with her luggage.

Despite traffic congestion, Singh manages to drop the woman at the railway station entrance just in time. The woman thanks him warmly before heading in, while Singh wishes her a safe journey.

The video has since garnered over 5.6 lakh views, with users applauding the veteran’s kindness and presence of mind. Many commenters described the act as a continuation of service beyond the uniform.

“You have served the country before and you are still serving the country. Salute,” wrote one user, while another commented, “Army people help without hesitation or conditions.”

Responding to a query on whether he would have helped if the person were a man, Singh replied that he would have done so without a second thought. “My happiness lies in helping people, whether it is a boy or a girl,” he said.

The clip has been widely shared as a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a big difference, especially in moments of stress.
