New Delhi: The Army jawan, who is the prime accused in the killing of Bulandshahr cop during a mob violence has denied any involvement in the incident. He is now in the custody of Uttar Pradesh police.
Jitendra Malik alias Jeetu has accepted that he was present at the site where the mob had gathered. But it is not yet proved whether he was involved in the murder of the police inspector. Jeetu has also denied pelting stones at the police. Forensic examination of his mobile phone is yet to be done.
Former village head Rajpal Chaudhary, along with five more men is absconding after an FIR was filed against him. The riot erupted after cattle carcasses were found in the fields of Chaudhary, outside Mahav village.
