A 49-year-old auto-rickshaw driver from Madhya Pradesh lost his life after he was attacked by an elephant while allegedly attempting to feed it jaggery.
The deceased has been identified as Vijay alias Laxman Rao Holkar, a resident of Indore.
Elephant attacked man during feeding attempt
According to reports, Holkar approached the elephant with jaggery, apparently intending to feed the animal. During the interaction, the elephant suddenly became aggressive, lifted him with its trunk and trampled him.
Despite efforts to rescue him, Holkar sustained severe injuries and died in the incident.
