In a distressing incident, Dr. Ajay Kumar, an Assistant Professor of Homeopathy at an Ayurvedic University in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, allegedly died by suicide due to mental stress. The police discovered a note in his room containing offensive comments about his wife, Suman, hinting at ongoing marital strife.
Dr. Ajay, originally from Jaipur, was living in a rented house in Jodhpur’s Kirti Nagar. When he failed to answer calls on Wednesday morning, his concerned family alerted his friends. Upon reaching his residence and finding no response, they peered through a window and discovered him hanging.
The police were informed, and the body was retrieved. Station House Officer Vikram Singh confirmed the recovery of the handwritten note and stated that investigations are ongoing.
Dr. Ajay’s wife, Suman, who works at a hospital in Jaipur, has been accused by Ajay’s family of mentally harassing him, leading to his extreme step.
This tragedy comes amid public outrage over the suicide of Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash, who left behind a detailed note and video blaming his wife and her family for harassment during a divorce and child custody battle.
Both cases highlight the emotional toll of unresolved marital discord and the need for timely intervention and mental health support.
