Azmat Habibulla, former head of marketing at South Indian Bank, has embarked on a new journey as Managing Director of Group Strategic Marketing and Communications at DBS India. In her new role, she will spearhead marketing communications for DBS India, while also driving initiatives for the DBS Foundation, sustainability agenda, and CSR endeavors in India.

Habibulla brings with her a wealth of experience in business transformation across leading brands in FMCG and BFSI sectors. Her expertise encompasses various domains including digital marketing, branding, strategic partnerships, and community building.

Her career trajectory began in FMCG, where she worked on renowned consumer brands such as Promise Toothpaste and Bertolli Olive Oil. She led the launch of Meswak toothpaste from inception to market testing, pricing, packaging, and final launch.

Transitioning to BFSI, Habibulla gained insights into marketing and product management across diverse segments such as retail, corporate banking, SME, and wealth management. Her tenure at ICICI Bank for 15 years, where she served as Head of Marketing, further enriched her leadership skills.

Prior to her role at South Indian Bank, she held positions at IL&FS Investsmart Ltd. and Balsara Hygiene Products Ltd. Her versatile background and extensive experience make her a valuable addition to DBS India’s leadership team.
