Barnala (Punjab): A man in Punjab’s Barnala district fatally shot his mother, daughter, and pet dog before taking his own life, according to police reports on Sunday.
The tragic event occurred at the man’s home in Ram Rajya Colony on Saturday evening.
The individual, identified as Kulbir Mann, first shot his 21-year-old daughter, Nimrat Kaur, then proceeded to kill his 85-year-old mother, Balwant Kaur, and the family dog, a police spokesperson confirmed.
Subsequently, Mann ended his life using his licensed revolver, authorities said.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Mann had been struggling with long-term depression, the police official added.
It was also noted that Mann’s daughter had recently returned from Canada. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
