In a tragic road accident near Chandur village in Medak, a 23-year-old man died while his sister, who was due to get married next week, suffered critical injuries.
The deceased was identified as Parushuram (23), while his sister Sathari Renuka (25) sustained fractures in both legs.
Car hits siblings’ bike from behind
According to reports, the siblings, residents of Chilipched village, were returning home on a motorcycle after visiting a relative in Chandur on Tuesday night.
An unidentified car allegedly rammed their bike from behind on the outskirts of the village.
Parushuram died on the spot, while the vehicle reportedly ran over Renuka’s legs, leaving her with severe fractures.
Wedding joy turns into grief
Renuka’s marriage was scheduled to take place in a week, with pre-wedding rituals planned to begin on Wednesday.
Instead of celebrations, the grieving family performed Parushuram’s funeral, turning what was meant to be a joyful week into one of sorrow.
Woman shifted to Hyderabad hospital
Renuka was first taken to a government hospital in Jogipet and later shifted to Osmania Hospital for advanced treatment after her condition became critical.
The incident has left the village in deep shock.
Police begin probe
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to trace the unidentified vehicle involved in the accident.
