Muzaffarpur: A tragic road accident on National Highway 27 has sparked outrage after onlookers allegedly prioritised collecting spilled mangoes over helping an injured couple trapped in an overturned pickup vehicle. The incident claimed the life of a 40-year-old man, while his wife remains in critical condition undergoing treatment.
According to police, the pickup vehicle, loaded with mangoes, was travelling from West Bengal towards Muzaffarpur when the driver reportedly lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn on the highway. The impact left both occupants seriously injured.
The deceased has been identified as Ajay Paswan, while his wife, Santara Devi, sustained severe injuries and is currently receiving medical care at a hospital.
