New Delhi: In the forthcoming cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is set to receive four portfolios, while Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) will be allocated two positions, according to sources.
From the TDP, three potential cabinet members have been identified: Ram Mohan Naidu, Harish Balayogi, and Daggumalla Prasad. These leaders are expected to play crucial roles in Modi’s new administration.
The JDU has proposed two prominent leaders for cabinet positions: Lalan Singh and Ram Nath Thakur. Lalan Singh represents Bihar’s Munger constituency in the Lok Sabha, whereas Ram Nath Thakur is a member of the Rajya Sabha and the son of Bharat Ratna awardee Karpoori Thakur.
This allocation of cabinet positions was finalized during a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting, which was convened to discuss and decide the composition of the new cabinet ahead of the government’s swearing-in ceremony scheduled for tomorrow.
