Protest to be held at Rajendra Maidan

According to the announcement, the Kochi demonstration will bring the party’s opposition to SIR into the public domain. The event’s title, “Save Democracy! Cancel SIR!”, sets out the party’s stated position on the revision process.

The protest is scheduled to begin at 4 pm on Saturday, November 7, at Rajendra Maidan. Dipke’s participation has also been confirmed in the party’s announcement.

The event is being promoted by CJP as a local demonstration against the SIR exercise. The party has used the slogan “Gyanesh Kumar Must Go” in its wider campaign questioning the Election Commission’s handling of electoral roll revisions.

‘Jantar Mantar at Kochi’ protest

The Kochi event has also been described as “Jantar Mantar @ Kochi”. Actor Prakash Raj is expected to attend along with Dipke.

The protest comes amid continuing public debate over electoral roll revision in Kerala. The Election Commission’s latest exercise in the state is a Special Summary Revision, with the draft electoral roll scheduled for publication on November 12 and the final list due on January 4, 2027.

CJP’s November 7 demonstration is expected to bring its opposition to the revision process to Kochi. The party has called for the cancellation of SIR, while the Election Commission has maintained that electoral roll revision is part of its process for updating voter records.
