Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has praised the peaceful and vibrant Holi celebrations across Uttar Pradesh, calling them a strong response to those who oppose Sanatan Dharma. Speaking at a Holi Milan programme at the Digvijaya Nath auditorium in Gorakhpur on Friday evening, the CM highlighted how the unity displayed during the grand Mahakumbh in Prayagraj and the Holi festivities proved the resilience and strength of Sanatan traditions.

Despite attempts to spread misinformation, Adityanath emphasized that the unity seen during these events transcended divisions of caste, sect, and region. He stressed that Holi celebrations, which unite people from all walks of life, are a testament to the inclusive nature of Sanatan Dharma. The Chief Minister also recalled India’s historical challenges, noting that the nation’s faith had been attacked by invaders, which led to centuries of subjugation and affected the collective mindset.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s gesture of presenting Gangajal from the Kumbh to the President of Mauritius, Adityanath affirmed that the sanctity of Sanatan traditions continues to reach followers worldwide. “It is our duty to uphold this heritage and ensure that our celebrations are never distorted by regressive ideologies,” he remarked, underlining the importance of maintaining the integrity of these traditions.

The Holi Milan event also featured Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi and Jagadguru Swami Santosh Das (Satua Baba) from Kashi. Earlier on Friday, CM Yogi Adityanath performed the Holika Bhasm Puja amidst Vedic chants, followed by a grand procession that passed through several Muslim-dominated localities, concluding at the Gorakhnath temple.

In addition to his Holi remarks, the Chief Minister also addressed the issue of land encroachment in the state. He directed officials to take strict action against illegal encroachers, ensuring that land belonging to the underprivileged and weaker sections of society is freed from unauthorized occupation. He emphasized the need for immediate action and relief to those affected by land encroachment, showcasing his commitment to addressing the grievances of the common people.
