Senior Congress leaders and ministers have expressed confidence that party candidate Naveen Yadav will secure a thumping victory in the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election, with an estimated margin of 30,000 to 50,000 votes.
Addressing a meeting at the Congress Party office in Yousufguda, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud asserted that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) was “living in an illusion created by fake surveys.”
“The people of Telangana have already rejected the BRS after ten years of its misrule. The voters of Jubilee Hills are ready to show their support to the Congress and Naveen Yadav,” Goud said.
Several senior ministers and party functionaries attended the meeting and claimed that the ground-level response to the Congress campaign had been overwhelming. They said voters were appreciative of the Congress government’s welfare and development programmes, which had “restored people’s trust” in the party.
Party leaders also emphasised that the Jubilee Hills bypoll would send a strong message to opposition parties about the people’s continued faith in Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership.
