New Delhi: The anticipation for the Lok Sabha elections is reaching its peak as Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge voiced confidence in the INDIA bloc’s potential victory. Kharge projected a minimum of 295 seats for the bloc, asserting that the NDA wouldn’t surpass 235 seats. His statements came following the conclusion of the INDIA bloc meeting in Delhi.

Highlighting specific state-wise projections, sources revealed the bloc’s optimism, foreseeing victories in Uttar Pradesh (40 seats), Punjab (13), Kerala (20), and Haryana (7), among others. These calculations, discussed during the meeting, painted a picture of significant support for the alliance.

During the extensive two-and-a-half-hour meeting, various issues were deliberated upon, including strategies for the vote-counting day. Kharge emphasized the bloc’s directive to its workers, urging them to remain vigilant in counting halls until all procedures are completed on June 4.

Accusations were also made against the BJP for allegedly attempting to dismantle the INDIA alliance. Despite these challenges, the bloc remains steadfast in its determination.

In a notable move, the INDIA bloc parties announced their participation in exit poll debates on television, diverging from Congress’s decision to abstain from such discussions. The Congress’s stance reflects its commitment to avoiding speculation and sensationalism for the sake of television ratings.
