Mumbai: In a major operation against narcotics trafficking, the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) Kandivali Unit of the Mumbai Crime Branch arrested a husband-wife duo allegedly involved in supplying heroin across the city. The pair, known within drug networks by the aliases “Bunty and Babli,” were intercepted near the Rashtriya Udyan Metro Station on the Western Express Highway in Borivali (East).
Huge heroin haul recovered during operation
Police said that during the interception, officers seized 511 grams of heroin valued at approximately ₹2.04 crore in the international market. The team also recovered two mobile phones and a mixer grinder from the couple’s residence, which investigators suspect was being used for processing and packaging the narcotics before delivery.
