A sorrowful incident shook Chiruthapalli village under Venkatapuram mandal, where a young farmer ended his life on Friday by consuming pesticide. The deceased has been identified as Lokam Madhu Krishna, aged 35.
As per reports from locals, Madhu Krishna had sown maize across four acres of farmland, utilizing seeds supplied by a private firm. Sadly, the harvest was far below expectations, leading to massive financial setbacks.
Facing escalating debts and unable to overcome the mounting stress, the farmer took the tragic decision to end his life.
Following the incident, his body was shifted for post-mortem procedures to ascertain the exact cause of death.
The police have registered a case and commenced a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the suicide.
