The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested a man from Hyderabad for his alleged involvement in the illegal trafficking of Indian youths, forcing them to work in fake call centers engaged in cyber fraud. The arrest comes after a 2,500 km-long manhunt, with the police tracking the suspect across multiple states.
The accused is accused of trafficking young people under false pretenses, bringing them into call centers where they were coerced into participating in fraudulent activities. The arrested individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, was tracked down by the police after months of investigation.
The Delhi Police officer involved in the operation praised the coordinated effort of the Special Cell, which led to the successful capture of the suspect. The arrested man will now face charges related to human trafficking and cybercrime, and further investigations are underway to identify and arrest other individuals involved in the illegal operation.
