To facilitate smooth travel, passengers were encouraged to utilize the Delhi Metro, specifically recommending the Magenta Line for Terminal 1 (T1) and the airport metro for Terminal 3 (T3).
In anticipation of the protest, Delhi Police also issued a traffic advisory, notifying commuters about vehicle movement restrictions at three borders of the national capital.
The protest, scheduled by various farmer associations primarily from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab, aims to advocate for a law ensuring Minimum Support Price (MSP) for agricultural produce, a demand previously highlighted during their 2021 protest.
Interstate buses traveling towards Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, etc., via NH-44 were advised to follow alternative routes outlined in the advisory, directing them through ISBT to Majnu Ka Tilla, Signature Bridge, Khajuri Chowk, Loni Border, and onward to KMP.
For Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) heading towards similar destinations via NH-44, alternative routes were suggested, guiding them through specific intersections and roads to reach their destinations while avoiding protest-affected areas.
The advisory concluded with recommendations for cars and Light Goods Vehicles (LGVs), providing alternative routes to bypass the protest areas and reach their destinations smoothly.
