A delivery worker died after being struck by a speeding car at around 3 am in the Subhash Nagar area of West Delhi, police confirmed on Saturday.

According to the Delhi Police, the victim was on duty when the car hit him in the early hours. He sustained critical injuries and was declared dead.

Accused arrested, vehicle seized

Police said the accused driver has been arrested and the vehicle involved in the crash has been seized. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances leading to the collision, including whether speeding or negligence was involved.

Officers are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area and recording statements from witnesses.

Recent accident raises concern

The incident comes close on the heels of another fatal accident near Lal Bahadur Shastri College in Dwarka South, where a man lost his life after a car allegedly driven by a juvenile without a licence collided with his motorcycle.

The back-to-back cases have once again drawn attention to reckless driving and late-night speeding on city roads. Authorities have urged motorists to follow traffic rules strictly and drive responsibly to prevent further tragedies.

Further updates are awaited as the probe continues.
