A wedding celebration in Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur turned into a scene of grief after a minor dispute over dancing to a DJ escalated into a fatal stabbing, leaving a 28-year-old youth dead.
Argument spirals into violence
The incident occurred on Monday night in the Cement Factory area when a wedding procession had arrived at a residence for celebrations. According to police, an argument broke out among a group of youths over dancing to the DJ music.
What began as a minor disagreement quickly intensified, leading to a violent altercation. In the chaos, the victim, identified as Vishal from Kota, was allegedly attacked with a knife by enraged individuals.
Victim succumbs to injuries
Vishal was immediately rushed to the district hospital in critical condition. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment, police officials confirmed.
The sudden turn of events shocked those present, as a joyful occasion turned into mourning within moments.
Police begin investigation
Following the incident, the Man Town police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s father, Raghuveer Chand, a murder case has been registered.
Police have detained several suspects and are currently questioning them to determine the exact sequence of events and identify those responsible.
