A 33-year-old man was found hanging at his residence in Nawada village on Monday afternoon, police said. The reasons behind the incident are not yet known, and an investigation is currently underway.
The deceased has been identified as Abhishek Yadav, a native of Tiliyani village in Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh. He had been living in Gurugram with his family for the past seven years and was employed as a driver with a private company.
Family returns to tragic discovery
Police said Abhishek lived with his wife and their two sons, aged 14 and 12. His wife works as a teacher at a private school. On Monday, she had gone out to attend a Republic Day programme. When she returned home in the afternoon, she found Abhishek hanging and immediately alerted the police.
A police team reached the spot soon after receiving the information. The body was taken into custody and sent for further procedures as part of the investigation.
Police record statements, cause unknown
Investigating officer ASI Ashok said that statements of family members have been recorded. “At present, the reasons behind the incident are unclear. We are looking into all possible aspects,” he said.
Police officials added that no suicide note has been recovered so far, and further details will emerge after completion of the inquiry.
The incident has left neighbours and local residents shocked, with many expressing concern over rising cases of mental distress and sudden deaths within residential communities.
