Controversial social media influencer and YouTuber Elvish Yadav is in trouble with the Rajasthan Police following a viral video that has sparked accusations of police favouritism. The incident, which involved Yadav and Pratap Singh Khachariyawa’s son, is set to lead to a case being registered against them. Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George confirmed on Tuesday that legal proceedings would be initiated against the two individuals.
This controversy emerged in Jaipur just as another social media figure, Ranveer Allahabadia (also known as ‘Beer-Biceps’), was at the center of a national uproar due to objectionable remarks made during a programme. The row in Rajasthan began when Yadav visited Jaipur on February 8 to record a song and uploaded a vlog that showed police vehicles escorting his convoy. The video featured several police vehicles, including a Chetak Escort patrol car and a Dial 112 helpline vehicle, leading to allegations of VIP treatment.
In the video, Yadav and Khachariyawas’s son claimed that these vehicles were part of their security escort. Yadav can be heard mentioning the presence of police vehicles, with a co-passenger noting that a white vehicle would arrive the next day. The footage was shared by Yadav on his social media account, sparking backlash from the public who accused Jaipur Police of offering special treatment to the controversial YouTuber.
Authorities have denied these claims, stating that no special security was assigned to Yadav. Additional Commissioner Rameshwar Singh clarified that no official vehicle was dispatched from the Commissionerate for Yadav’s protection. He further explained that escort vehicles are only assigned with proper approval. Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph also addressed the issue, stating that Yadav had misrepresented an older video to spread misinformation and confirmed that legal action would be taken against both individuals involved.
This isn’t the first controversy surrounding Pratap Singh Khachariyawas’s son, as he has previously been accused of assaulting bar staff. Similarly, Shanti Dhariwal’s son has also faced serious allegations, including rape accusations.
